Studies in the Basidiodendron caesiocinereum complex (Auriculariales, Basidiomycota)

Abstract Taxonomy of Basidiodendron caesiocinereum complex is revised based on morphological and molecular methods (with the use nc LSU rDNA, ITS TEF1 regions). The basidiospore ornamentation justified as a key character for species recognition in group. As redefined here, B. an angiosperm-dwelling with smooth basidiospores. Bourdotia cinerella var. trachyspora are proved to represent separate warted basidiospores; they reintroduced cinerellum trachysporum . Additionally, eight new related described material from Eurasia, North America Africa, identity spinosum Oceania discussed.
